Philippians 4:6-7, says, “Don’t worry about anything; but being thankful for what you have, tell God what you need; and the peace that passes all understanding will keep your heart and your mind, through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Just so you’ll know, if you ever had any doubt, this verse works every time—not the verse, but Our Lord. Prayer is an act of faith (trust) in God.
So pray. Pray for yourself. Pray for others. Call the elders. Get in a big circle, everybody hold hands and pray. Wow! How much God likes to see people pray! Put the prayee in the middle and let everybody get around them and lay hands on them so that they can feel the touch of God in their hearts and in their bodies. You just can’t imagine the way the Spirit moves in you, inside and out, when a bunch of people get together and get down and pray!
Another big benefit of praying is that you feel God’s presence when you pray. You feel it when you pray by yourself, but to me you feel His presence even more when you pray out loud in the company of others. I don’t know about you, but honest to goodness, one of my favorite things on the face of this earth is to feel God’s presence! When we trust God He takes care of us, and when we pray He answers us. If we don’t worry about the answers we have peace in our hearts and in our lives.
